Basic Trees can be found naturally in your kingdom, and in Expansion squares, but they can also be bought on the Market, under the Nature tab.
Trees are delivered from the Market as saplings. They must be watered 5 times, with specific delays in between, to reach maturity. Only Dead Trees arrive full-size. If you only want logs, Willow is the best value, followed by Elm, Oak and White Birch, which are equal price per log (50). However, Oak has an unusually long watering interval (30 minutes!)

Maturing Trees[]
It's a surprise when you buy a tree and find out it's just a sapling. It takes 5 waterings to become a full-size tree (except dead trees which are full-size.) Each tree has a wait period. Oak is the worst, at 30 minutes!! Elm and Crab Apple trees are the briefest, at 3 minutes each. Elm and Willow both have a 2x2 footprint, but if you are not pressed for space, they are the cheapest per log.

Premium Trees[]
These premium trees are bought with Gems and do not get cut down. They can be tended at certain intervals to receive drops. Most are purchased as saplings, and must be watered five times at one-hour intervals to mature.
The three fruit trees unlock different Kitchen recipes, Royal Exchange trades, etc. Maple trees are unique by taking up 2x2 squares, and for dropping Sap and Syrup.
